What I offer

Counselling & Trauma Therapy in Stourbridge (and surrounding areas), West Midlands

Unconditional Acceptance, in a space that’s yours.

I offer a safe, confidential counselling space in Stourbridge, where you can feel heard, accepted, and supported—exactly as you are. Whether you’re navigating trauma, identity, anxiety, or life transitions, my aim is to help you reconnect with your authentic self.

I offer open-ended therapy and trauma treatment, and we’ll review our work together regularly to ensure you feel it’s working for you. There’s no rush—just a steady, supportive space at your own pace.

My Therapeutic Approach

My work is integrative and trauma-informed, with a person-centred foundation. That means I draw from different counselling approaches depending on your needs—while keeping you and your lived experience at the heart of the process.

You’re welcome to share clinical diagnoses, but I focus on your individual story, not on “treating a condition.” We’ll explore what feels most important to you, in your own time.

Inclusive, Affirming Counselling

I welcome children, young people, adults, and families, and I have a special interest in working with clients from the LGBTQ+ and GSRD (Gender, Sexuality, and Relationship Diversity) communities. I also have lived experience and have worked extensively with neurodiversity.

If you’re looking for an LGBTQ+ or neurodiversity affirming counsellor in Stourbridge, you’ll find my practice open, inclusive, and grounded in respect and affirmation.

Areas of Interest

I have a particular interest in:

  • Neurodiversity: I was diagnosed later in life as autistic and am currently awaiting an ADHD assessment. This personal insight informs my understanding and approach with neurodivergent clients.
  • Gender, Sexuality & Relationship Diversity (GSRD): I’ve done a deep dive into this area, exploring the ways social constructs can shape—and sometimes restrict—our identities. I offer an open, affirming space to explore these aspects of self.
  • Trauma Recovery: In 2023, I trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy—an evidence-based and powerful treatment for trauma. I’m pleased to offer EMDR as part of my therapeutic toolkit for adults, children and young people. You can learn more about EMDR here.

Boundaries & Confidentiality

Contact Between Sessions

You can contact me via email or text for scheduling only. I don’t provide therapeutic support through these channels for privacy reasons. I aim to respond during office hours (Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm) and appreciate your patience outside of these times.

Social Media

I maintain a low-profile presence online and do not connect with clients on social media (e.g., following, friending, or checking profiles). Your privacy matters deeply to me, and I ask that you respect mine as well. If you have questions about me, I’m happy to discuss them in session.

Ethical Practice & Supervision

As an accredited member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), I follow their Ethical Framework and receive regular supervision to ensure my work is ethical, effective, and safe. Any discussion of client work is anonymised—your identity is never disclosed.

I am also working towards Accreditation with EMDR Europe.

Session Notes & Privacy

I keep brief, non-identifiable notes on our sessions. These are stored securely and retained for five years after our work ends (or 5 years after a child client turns 18). You’re always welcome to request access to these notes.
